I'm cloth diapering again. I have in the past, and I've also given up in the past as well. But I just can't stay away.
The diapers I was buying were discontinued. So in my search for the next best option, tons of dipes were crossed out and, for some sick reason I can get over the delicious smell and qualities of wool. So, I've been knitting up a bunch of these.
I like this pattern even better than the last, because its a bit more versatile. Also I like the look a bit more.

potty
I put my children on the potty when they are 8 months old. Not quite as early as some others. Mostly because its cute. (see above for proof) But also because it makes for less diapers and wiping. Have any of you ever heard of this elimination communication method? Or tried it for that matter? I think its worth it.

denouncing cloth diapers
Because its not worth it with these around. I keep going back and forth, searching for a perfect combo that just suits us perfectly. It's taken me quite a while to realize this is what works for us.
No diapers give me quite as much joy. Also, just about all of their products Rock the Casbah. In case you wanted to know.

wooly
Here's my first attempt at knitting a diaper cover. I used this pattern, and I like the way it fits. And I imagine it's softer and more comfy to wear than what I currently have on him.
I have yet to lanolize it, and I'm scared because I don't really know what I'm doing.
So wish me luck.

cloth diapering

Check these out!
We love cloth over here. But the coming of this new baby has got me researching. Again. We use these. And they work fine. But I'm like the idea of switching to all natural fibers. I think they might come up fresher for a longer period of time. Anybody have any experience with wool and cotton?

Diapers
I've decided to make the switch to cloth diapers. I feel that this change has been long coming. And I'm surprised that I'm just getting around to it. After lots of research online, (I don't have anyone local to guide me) I think I'd like to try a pocket. Made of PUL and cotton flannel. With a waffle-weave microfiber soaker. Does anyone with some experience have any tips or guidance? I'd like to try and make it on my own. The pattern is not an issue, but I'd love to hear some feed back on favorite materials. Or even great combos other that the PUL/flannel?
