we name our shoes

Let me turn your focus to the croc-knock-offs. I'm not a huge fan of crocs. But, there is something to be said about a shoe that can get muddy sandy, and rinsed right off. Sam wasn't really into the idea of new shoes, so in order to convince him, I quickly called them "monster shoes". Sounds like more fun than crocs. (Unless you are a little boy who happens to like crocodiles already.) And it worked! Now they are his favorite. The black socks are kind of defeating the whole purpose. But I can't win them all.

  1. I'm not a fan of crocs either, but I think kids can pull them off. Your little one certainly can.

  2. Eddrick has the same pair and lives in them now. All the kids have their own pair. And being this far along and this big in my pregnancy, I'm so happy for these shoes. They can put them on themselves with no help from me, and yes, rinsing off is a huge plus. Hooray for croc-knock-offs, I mean "monster shoes".

  4. Crocs really are good for the clean-up requirements. My guys have worn theirs out. The socks are sooo Staten Island! (said because I'm married to a S. I. guy who wears socks with his sandals).
I'm sorry about the loss of your grandpa but rejoice that he is resting with the Lord.
