I have exptremely bad luck with sewing machines

If it belongs to me, it probably doesn't work. I've been fiddling around, trying to fix mine for a couple days. Now that I have a permanent spot for it in the cool basement. But I've had no luck. Only frustration. My sister came to the rescue and let me borrow her machine. Which is just about the same model. Works great. Like a charm even. So I got to complete two whole projects!!
A gift for a baby shower I'm going to in the morning,

and a bedspread for Phoebe. I have yet to purchase the fabric for Sam's. That will be next week. Joel and I ordered them a new bunk bed. It should arrive sometime after Wednesday. So we are all excited.

Not really the best way to beat the heat, or cut fabric. But the company is nice.

so good

We have wonderful neighbors. They picked and hand delivered two bowls of bing cherries straight from their tree, to our backdoor. I keep running across yummy looking recipes to use them in, but they never stick around long enough. Oh well.

oregon blueberries

We were blessed enough to pick free berries from a new friends backyard gardens two weeks ago. I've never had blueberries this good. They have been going into everything. Pancakes, muffins crisps, ( I've never had blueberry crisp before but I highly recommend it) and drinks.

in which its easy to dream , and so hard to say goodnight

WE were lucky enough to get a free sonogram of the baby. Such a treat. It hasn't gotten old yet folks. It's still truly a blessing. The baby is wiggly as ever. And is easily excited by the familiar sounds of its brother and sister. We decided to wait until the baby's birth to find out who he/she is. It feels like we have control this way. Instead of being told they could not tell. That was tough. But really, it doesn't matter. Anyone healthy would be wonderful. So onto picking a name. Wish us luck!

happy fourth!

Things are going wonderfully out here in Idaho. We haven't really gotten ourselves a smooth pattern of living yet, but I hope when that happens, I'll be able to post regularly again.
