thinking this might be the best pet

I really like animals. This is a genetic trait gained from my father. I would have loved to live in a zoo as a child. But now that house keeping, and child rearing are some of my main focuses, a menagerie to clean and care for is a lot less appealing. We have been thinking about keeping chickens for a bit now and I stumbled upon this wonderful website Omlet. They make it look oh so easy. And fun yeah?

because pregnant girls want to look cute too

I'm really feeling this outfit on anthropologie. But I don't go for those kids of prices.
So here's my budgeted version.

The necklace is the same, the dress is Old Navy Maternity :$30,
and the croc knock offs are from Target $7.

new ticker for little minds

I went and got a pregnancy ticker. Sam has been having trouble grasping the whole concept. I brilliantly let the news slip a week or so after we found out. 8 months is obviously too long for a 3 year old to wait for a new sibling. He asks if "the baby is ready to come out now" on a bit of a regular basis. We've been telling him not until Thanksgiving. At least now he has a bit more of a picture. And I think its helping.

in the backyard

I'm so excited to be living in the new house. Not so excited to pack and actually move. I'm also excited about outdoor living. Since we will have our own backyard. And boy, its been a while. Here are some goodies I found that might be worth purchasing now and bring with us.

I think most of you know that there is no ikea near Moscow. Its sad but true. I'm going to need to stock up.

deodorizer for those of us

I made myself some deodorant last night. I had been using this stuff. I love the smell to pieces. But the first ingredient was propylene glycol. I was given this recipe by my sister. And dang does it work.

all natural deodorant for real

1/4 C virgin coconut oil
1/4 C baking soda
1 1/2 ts cornstarch

My coconut oil was soft enough to mix the other ingredients in with heating it first. So after I mixed them completely, I stuffed it into an old deodorant container that I had saved and washed. Then I put it in the freezer over night just to speed up the hardening process.

I really don't think this is regrettable. I mean these are all food grade ingredients. Which is nice for nursing. Babies come pretty close to whatever you put on. That used to stress me out.

We closed on this lovely little house in northern Idaho today.
I can't wait to do some renovation and decoration!

He is risen!

I hope everyone enjoyed a spectacular Resurrection Sunday! It dawned on me early in the morning what a truly blessed day it actually is. ( probably even more special than Christmas) What a merciful, loving Father we have in Heaven!

there is no reason not too

I've never seen a triple stroller look this streamlined, and compact. If anyone would like to donate monies for its purchase. Please feel free to email me. ;)

Yes I know, we have two children, but if it be Gods will, baby number three should be joining us just in time for Thanksgiving this year. That's right, am I pregnant and suffering from some gnarly type of morning sickness that worsens at night. Preparing dinner has become quite the task. All in good form right?

Please pray for our growing bean!

preparing for some easter fun

This picture has nothing to do with my Easter prep. It just really makes me laugh. He did not actually hit her, she just has bad balance and toppled over and decided she was fine there and wanted to stay a bit.

I made these this afternoon. I wanted to make rice crispie treats in the shape of Easter eggs, to go in the kids baskets, but I had corn flakes and chocolate and no marshmallows or rice crispies. I tasted little bits while stirring the flakes in, and boy was this a good choice. I first saw them when Ruby made them. So, so good. Hope your Easter preparations are lining up nicely. :)
