I wanted her to wear them some time soon,..

But it looks more like she'll fit them next year.
Here they are anyways. I should have ironed them before taking pictures.

edit: I meant to mention that they are pajamas.

6 weeks old

Yeah I know,..time flies when your having fun.

Do you remember these fisher price little people?
My mom saved the set I used to play with and brought it out for Samuel the other day. It brought on some serious imaginative play. He fed them all gold fish for dinner that night. With a few for himself of course.

mcdonalds is the worst

Yes thats right folks, sometimes we just go ahead and eat it.
It was one of those days and it just seemed right. (even though it wasn't.)

I actually got to set up my sewing machine and start a dress for phoebe. I'm using a pattern that I've had for a while, but I'm going to make a few alterations. I chose to make the small, but it is looking like it won't fit until September. Arg. I guess thats better than it being to small right?
I'm very excited to see if I can finish this project. I don't always make it around to completion.

My husband had me finally watch 300. I'm a fan of greek mythology and the like, and since I'm not bothered by gore in the least, I enjoyed it. That is minus, the over abundance of inappropriate nudity. (when is nudity appropriate?)

I heart babies in my bed

Joel showed Sam some vintage ( super nintendo) video games. He enjoyed it way to much and asks for the monkey games several times a day. He also continually tries to connect and power the system up by himself. After a couple days of this I decided it might be helpful to hide the evidence of its existence. So I put the controllers on top of our bookshelf. Sam spotted them and started making his way up the shelf. I'm not sure what to think really.

This valentines day morning Joel and I woke up with both babies in our bed. Even though this was at 5:30 a.m., it was still cute.

I made some little plans for tonight. Martha's ever so popular felt fortune cookies,

a new table setting,
for dinner and dessert.
My sweetheart surprised me with Amy Karol's Bend-The Rules Sewing!

boots again

I'm reading my new lucky magazine, trying to figure out what happened to fashion while I was pregnant. For some reason I find it really easy get lost in a lack of maternity fashion. And I really start to loose sight of what I really like to wear. I have some sewing projects in mind. A pair of shorts and a dress or two. I don't have patterns for either yet. Hopefully I can find some close enough to what I want so as to minimize alterations. Otherwise I might just wing it.
I want to get my feet into these brown babies.

Thats right, all the stores are trying to get everyone to buy sandals and I'm still looking at boots. I don't think I can help myself. I can wear boots with dresses in the spring can't I?

We are listening to this a lot lately, at Sam's request.

A smiling baby girl.

I ordered some new yarn from a recommended online discount store. I can't wait for the box to arrive! Who doesn't love getting packages in the mail? If it ever arrives (did I mention I have a hard time waiting?) I'm going to try to make the cabled footies in this book. I learned how to cable knit this past weekend and now I'd love to put the new skill to work.
In other random news, I love Trader Joe's and both babies have already peed on our new couch.

time to craft? not really.

Outside of caring for children and cleaning, I mean trying to clean my home...I haven't had much time to craft anything fun. I always go to knittting because it is such a portable craft. No need to go to the sewing room. Phoebe was in need of a winter hat. The ones I knit her before she was born have already grown small. (She was bigger than I expected). So I knit her this little pompom hat yesterday using two strands of this yarn I've had forever. I had a vision for what I was trying to make,..but I think part of the fun of making something is seeing what your idea actually becomes. I think I had cables in mind, but since I don't even know how to cable,...that wasn't possible. It ended up being jumbo ribs. Cute enough in my opinion. I threw in the pompom for good measure.

Well the time has come to purchase a new couch. We threw out the old with the rubbish on Thursday morning. Which means we have been without seating. And will continue this wqay unless we make it to Ikea Saturday morning. This is the guy we have in mind.
Of course we'd like to do some comfort testing and really make a final decision on a color.
Then there are always a ton of other things to get at Ikea. :)
