frame by frame baking

I found this wonderful book while scouring the shelves of my local Ross store. The pictures are so clear and beautiful, I almost want to frame them!

fun for the babies

We like to eat out when we can. I just can't make Thai food as good as I'd like. Not to mention, I love leaving my dishes on the table and never having to think about them again. But sometimes waiting for food to arrive is unbearable for my little ones. iPhones come in very handy, with apps like paper town friends, and speak piggy! But, I think I'd like to get some games like this.

babies like to walk outside too

I am shopping shoes for the baby. He is a confident walker of 2'3". And Robeez just don't cut it for the cold ground outside.
I think these, found on little fashion gallery are quite fabulous.

But here is a pretty good looking version from Old navy for half the cost.

I might have to go pick up a pair.

happy weekend

I know, I already talked about my canning fun, but I think they are very pleasant to look at. Here are some of my favorites this week.

I really do like sesame street.

We loved watching this story unfold live.

I stopped using plastic produce bags a long time ago. But these seems to be a much better option than my apples and squash rolling around on the belt.

I am certain this magazine will be nice to read. ( I'm still not over Domino's crash)

Pardon my absence. We have been working on little to no sleep lately. It seems we have some sleep training to do. I'm in the process of reading this book, and I am very hopeful. Do any of you with young children have any suggestions or tips for getting a 10 month old to sleep regularly?

How was your weekend? Our was rainy and blessed. We got a lot of rest and had a nice little walk around our neighborhood Sunday afternoon. We walk around quite often, but it was a particularly nice fall day and we collected bits of nature to bring home with us.

Also, I never have succsess with bread making. And for the first time, we all loved this loaf.
So I"ll be making it again. And probably again after that.

Here are some pictures of our trip to the apple orchard. We even got to press fresh cider that we've been heartily enjoying. Along with the sauce I made with the apples and the crisp we'll be eating for Sabbath dinner tomorrow. Yes I do remember why I love the fall.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Here are some of my favorite links from the week.

I personally love that they named this guy like this. I mean its their son right? High five Jamie and Jools. I mean, I'm just sayin'.

Look at these tiny dolls.

Gap is not doing the right thing.

Cute all natural nail polish for lil' gurlz.

I just found this new Australian home magazine Adore today. I really like the clean modern lines.
And the color? Oh the color. :) I always end up choosing neutrals. (and loving them) but its nice to look at this much vibrant color. I especially love the little girls nursery. Go check it out!

I have been canning like crazy over here lately. Apple sauce canned pears and plum jam. I think one of these would come in very hand right about now. Does anyone else like canning and preserving?
The contents of my pocketbook.

current knitting projects, wipes, yarn sciccor, sunglasses, mascara, lip balm, wallet, checkbook, diapers, iPhone in dorky purple tire.

What's in yours?

Green mac 'n' cheese.

Macaroni and cheese with a cup or two of pureed spinach added at the end. I also added diced cooked ham. It makes my non mac'n'cheese loving kids eat it right up.

My camera is sort of missing. (Piles of laundry are dwelling in every corner of my home) So I don't have pictures to share. So I'll just tell you that we had a blast apple picking this weekend. Our car is sounding funny lately. It started making a new sound on the way out Saturday morning, so we decided to turn around. Not to far from home. We ran into some good friends who were also going picking and they so graciously invited us to cram in with them. Between their two cars. We were so grateful and had even more fun driving in cars full of happy, and not so happy children.

We are going to pick apples and press cider with the kids tomorrow. This is what I'd love to wear.

What are your plan for this weekend?

One day I'll go to this.

Check out all this wonderful goodness.

Are these the most outrageous shoes you've even see?
