best lamb cutlets with a special basil sauce
Lamb is a big treat for us over here. It might be because we have a freezer full of beef and chicken. We love Jamie , and I think I'll need to try this recipe out this week. Does this sound tasty to you?

good food and holiday prep
Does anyone else love November? Even though it's been rainy and cold, we are relishing our days cozied up in the house. Most of our time is spent eating hash browns and eggs, building forts in the living room and crafting when the minute arises. I love the idea of having my Christmas shopping done by Thanksgiving Day. It takes all the stress out of the season for me. This has happened only once, but I remember it being magical. So I'm going to try to put a fire under it and get some gifting done. I have two weeks left! Here are some gift guides that are inspiring me.
from Design mom ( because she is a doll)
from Irene( her design aesthetic is beyond wonderful)
Have a cozy weekend!

corduroy on babies
I went into a night time sewing frenzy this weekend. And made these pants for Mr. D. Most of the time my sewing projects never make it to finish. And if they do, the chances of them looking different than originally planned, are very high. These came out like I wanted them.
He has pretty much been wearing them ever since.

Oh yes, please.
Look at these beautiful family friendly bikes! Isn't it just the best? I miss riding a bike and our town if very pro bikes. There is nothing like getting out in some fresh air. I would love to call this my own. Madsen is giving one away, enter to win your very own!

in which we take a picture of the baby wearing his hat, yet again
We had a wondeful and rainy reformation weekend. Including a packed mall full of trick or treaters, and blast of a fall festival at our church. I should also mention family dinner was chicken Parmesan, ceasar salad and homemade garlic knots. Needless to say, my house looks like a tornado hit it, and I will be busy all week trying to recover some sort of sanity to our lives.
I have knitting projects in the making. I always do. I also always mention it, but never remember to take a picture of the finished projects. I need to get better. In the meantime, have a wonderful Monday.
