breakfast
I made corned beef from scratch for St. Patrick's day this month. And it came out so wonderfully, I made it again so we could enjoy some Rubens. There was left over beef from the sandwiches and I had to try one of my favorite breakfasts from back home on the east coast. A little diner my parents frequent serves corned beef hash. It's out of this world. So here is my try. Pretty fantastic as well if I do say so myself. Want to come over for breakfast one day?

denouncing cloth diapers
Because its not worth it with these around. I keep going back and forth, searching for a perfect combo that just suits us perfectly. It's taken me quite a while to realize this is what works for us.
No diapers give me quite as much joy. Also, just about all of their products Rock the Casbah. In case you wanted to know.

poetry
Some small poems we've learned to recite this week.
Sam:
Sam:
The Sea
Behold the wonders of the mighty deep
Where crabs and lobsters learn to creep
And little fishes learn to swim
And clumsy sailors tumble in
Behold the wonders of the mighty deep
Where crabs and lobsters learn to creep
And little fishes learn to swim
And clumsy sailors tumble in
Phoebe:
The Crocus
The golden crocus reaches up
to catch a sunbeam in here cup
The golden crocus reaches up
to catch a sunbeam in here cup

Sabbath Dinners
At the end of the week we try to gather our collective families together for sabbath/family dinner. With some sort of mock feast to remind us of home. We are growing at a steady pace. And we had out grown our four chair Ikea table from our first apartment. Here is the upgrade. With room for 10. It currently has 8 chairs around it. Just enough for everyone to eat together.
Even with all the prep and work it takes to get all the food and kids ready, and tear-free, it still feels like rest.

27 good years
I also had a birthday yesterday. I got two of these lil' beauties. Which works out beautifully. I'll need both once we get our birds.
This was not the most care free and jolly birthday ever, but I have so much joy in my life. God has me in such a wonderful place, and I am blessed beyond belief.
My Grammy
I lost my grandmother yesterday.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death; I will fear no evil: for thou
art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies: thou anointest
my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all
the days of my life; and I will dwell in the
house of the Lord for ever.
